Penshurst Village Hall is a historic building, packed with many of the original features which offer a charmed and atmospheric venue, brimming with character.
It is situated in the centre of the picturesque village of Penshurst in Kent. The village is also home to Penshurst Place, a 14th century Manor House with its beautiful gardens and parkland. In close proximity to the Village Hall is St. John the Baptist church, the Leicester Arms (which also offers accommodation) and the Fir Tree Tea Rooms.
The Village Hall building is composed of the entrance lobby, the main hall, the Library and the Victoria room upstairs. There are ladies and gentlemen’s toilets, and a kitchen. There is a courtyard area to the front of the building and a garden to the rear, both of which can be used for larger events such as weddings, parties, fairs and markets. Individual rooms, a selection of rooms or the entire building can be hired either for one-off or recurring events. WiFi is available in the building. The front courtyard can also be used for parking with additional parking available in the lay-by on the B2176 road just before the Village Hall and in the adjacent High Street. If extra parking is required for larger events, the Bookings Secretary can advise at the time of hiring.
Penshurst Village Hall is proud to be at the heart of the community and we host a wide range of community events and classes.
